How it works
Uppercase and lowercase use the Unicode default case mapping in JavaScript, the same mapping as toUpperCase and toLowerCase. They are not locale-specific, so a dotted Turkish i is not applied.
Sentence case lowercases the text, then uppercases the first character that has a case. Title case does that to each whitespace-separated word and leaves the spacing as typed. These are not the Chicago Manual or AP small-word lists.
